Lead Into Guiding is a unique training programme designed to support people to develop leadership skills and gain leadership experience in a practical setting. Lead Into Guiding covers about 30% of the Leadership Qualification. Females completing Lead Into Guiding can then be allocated mentors and supported to complete the Leadership Qualification in the unit setting.
Lead Into Guiding ran in GLK in February 2018 and was extremely successful. Twelve candidates attended, completing the training and delivering a great Holiday Guiding programme to around 40 young members.
